Benefect Botanical Disinfectant is the first & only botanical disinfectant. It is registered with Health Canada for control against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria (Salmonella choleraesuis, Staphylococcus aureus & Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Mycobacterium bovis (TB), fungi including Trichophyton mentagrophytes and virus (HIV-1, the AIDS virus). Product is not susceptible to antimicrobial resistant bacteria.

Benefect is a ready-to-use product that is not required to be rinsed or wiped after application. Just Spray and Walk Away. There are no label warnings or precautionary statements for use or disposal. Personal Protective Equipment is not required to apply the product.

Ideal for many applications including all categories of water damage, sewage back-up, mould remediation, trauma scene decontamination, and anywhere else infection control is required. Suitable for disinfecting hard, non-porous surfaces in residential, commercial or medical applications, including health care & food preparation facilities: hospitals, nursing homes, medical, veterinary offices, health professional clinics, day cares, restaurants & bars, kitchens, food storage areas, fitness gyms, spas, schools, hotels, zoos & kennels.

Product Application

Water Damage Restoration:  It controls & inhibits odour causing bacteria, mould & other organisms on a variety of porous and semi-porous materials including: wood studding, subfloors, trim, lumber, tack strips, concrete and paneling. Also suitable for deodourizing such surfaces as carpeting, carpet underpad and other semi-porous furnishings.

Grey or Black Water (Sewage) Damage: Pre-clean the surface first. Wet the surface with the spray and leave for 10 minutes. Do not rinse or wipe away.

Mould Remediation: Best used as a wipe application to remove surface moulds and as a spray after remediation procedure is complete to control any remaining moulds. Should be used with proper remediation protocols, as all moulds should be removed from affected areas to ensure health and safety of building occupants.

To Disinfect: 

1. Pour Benefect into appropriate chemical pump sprayer, pressurized sprayer or spray bottle.
2. Wet the surface with Benefect (testing for compatibility first is always recommended).
3. Leave for 10 minutes; allow to air dry. No rinsing or wiping is required.
