Hydro-Force Wood Fresh Hardwood Cleaner. Wood Fresh Hardwood Cleaner is designed to be used as a neutralizing rinse in an extraction machine designed for wood following the use of the Heavy Duty Hardwood Cleaner in the extraction cleaning system. This cleaner is also used in our abrasion cleaning system with the rotary floor machine and maroon pad to remove the surface soil and the embedded dirt. It will also remove scuff marks and other imperfections. Mix one part Wood Cleaner with 4 parts water in a spray bottle and apply to the floor before scrubbing. It also removes residue during the rinsing phases. It is the ideal cleaner to prepare the floor for the application of the Hardwood Preservation Finish CW032GL Gloss or CW033GL Satin. Wood Fresh Hardwood Cleaner is also the ideal cleaner for daily maintenance of the floor. It can be used by the home owner to clean wood floors as often as needed.

Product Application
For ongoing maintenance: Mix a solution of 1 part Wood Fresh Hardwood Cleaner to 4 parts water in a sprayer. Spray a light coat of the solution on the floor. Dampen the fitted pad on your Hydro-Force Applicator and agitate the solution on the floor to loosen the dirt. Mop the floor with a clean fitted pad to remove additional soil - this will provide a fresh clean look to the surface.
For extraction cleaning and application of Hardwood Preservation Finish: Mix one part Heavy Duty Hardwood Cleaner with 4 parts warm water in the cleaning machine. Adding a defoamer like Foamless to the waste tank is recommended for some machines and situations. With the solution pumping, the brush rotating and the vacuum turned on, begin moving the machine forward at a moderate speed. Reverse on the same line at the same speed. Then continue into the next area with the same procedure. Remove any standing solution with an absorbent flat mop. Mix one part Wood Fresh Hardwood Cleaner with 4 parts warm water in the cleaning machine. Proceed to clean and neutralize the complete floor in the same manner as explained above. The cleaning and preparation steps are important. The dual cleaners both clean and treat the floor to make it more receptive to the Preservation Finish. Apply finish immediately after cleaning approximately 1,000 sq. ft.
For abrasion cleaning and application of Hardwood Preservation Finish: Dust mop or vacuum floor thoroughly. Mask off transitions from wood to other types of floors. Mix 4 parts water to 1 part Wood Fresh Hardwood Cleaner (4 ounces of cleaner in the sprayer and add 16 ounces of water). Spray a light mist application on the hardwood floor area being restored. With a low speed floor machine (175 rpm) scrub the floor with a maroon pad or equivalent. Be careful not to over-apply Wood Fresh Hardwood Cleaner as excess water on the floor can cause damage. The scrubbing action will loosen and remove soil build-up as well as the surface of the old finish, leaving a surface that has a slightly rough feel. This new surface will readily accept and bond to the Hydro-Force Wood Finish. Mop the floor with a Hydro-Force Wood Finish Applicator to absorb the Wood Fresh Hardwood Cleaner and the released soil. Repeat this mopping procedure a second time. Spray the floor with a light coat of Wood Fresh Hardwood Cleaner and buff the floor with your floor machine and a cotton bonnet (absorbent pad). While wearing shoe covers, go over the floor a final time with a damp clean terry cloth cover attached to the applicator. This will remove any dust or lint before applying finish. You are now ready to apply Hydro-Force Hardwood Preservation Finish as soon as the floor is dry. Depending on conditions, this could take up to 1 hour.
Directions for cabinets and hardwood furniture: The same procedures apply for cabinets and furniture as for floors except the cleaning is done by hand. Instead of the rotary machine and maroon pad, use your hand and the center portion of maroon pad or a Scotchbrite hand pad. Removing the soil and surface finish is done with a damp terry cloth towel or one of your applicator terry cloth pads. Â Apply the Hardwood Preservation Finish with an absorbent towel while wearing gloves. Ongoing maintenance of cabinets and furniture is the same as for floors except that it is done by hand and it will not be required as frequently.
