This N610LY Rope Grab With Integral Lanyard is designed for connection to MCM 16 mm (5/8”) ropes. The N610LY is trailing rope grab designed to automatically ‘follow’ the user along the rope and may be purposefully detached by the user anywhere on the lifeline. It will stop on a lifeline even when the panic lock is held open.  The lever is sprung to allow the cam to engage the lifeline even if, in the event of a fall, the user grabs the cam. This eliminates the "death grip fall" associated with regular rope grabs. It is intended to be used as part of a personal fall arrest system. Applications for these rope grab includes most activities where there exists the need for fall arrest or restraint (on sloped surfaces). Maximum permissible free fall is 1.8 m (6 feet).
